ABOUT ABOUT

Immerse yourself in the world of the fishes, past and present. First, learn how an ocean expedition to Papua New Guinea in the early 20th century helps today’s scientists understand and protect the coral reefs. Then create a lasting memory of our aquatic friends through a lesson in gyotaku, traditional Japanese fish printing. Cap off your evening by taking a turn around our newest exhibit, X-Ray Vision: Fish Inside Out.

The Smithsonian Community Grant program, funded by MetLife Foundation, is a proud sponsor of this public program.
